HONK Jr. is the musical version of the story of the Ugly Duckling. Kids of all ages will enjoy this 90 minute musical romp through the duck yard as we follow Ugly on a wonderful journey of self-discovery and acceptance. Tickets will be available at the door for $8 (general admission) and $5 (with HMS student or staff ID) Shows for the public are Saturday, February 29th at 2:30 and 6:30 and Saturday, March 7th at 2:30 and 6:30. Featuring HMS middle school and high school actors.

You are cordially invited to attend the Women's Heritage Tea honoring these exceptional women: Pat Chappelle, Gay Kernan, and Lema White. The program will be at 2pm with high tea following at 3pm. Men and women are encouraged to wear their favorite, silliest, or most interesting hat for a chance to win a door prize.

Classic films features the Great Divas of Hollywood's Golden Age: Bette and Kate. This week, see the classic movie "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner"(1967), starring Katharine Hepburn, Spencer Tracy, and Sidney Poitier; directed by Stanley Kramer. When Joanna Drayton (Katharine Houghton), a free-thinking white woman, and black doctor John Prentice (Sidney Poitier) become engaged, they travel to San Francisco to meet her parents. Matt Drayton (Spencer Tracy) and his wife Christina (Katharine Hepburn) are wealthy liberals who must confront the latent racism the coming marriage arouses. Also attending the Draytons' dinner are Prentice's parents (Roy E. Glenn Sr., Beah Richards), who vehemently disapprove of the relationship. Free admission, popcorn and beverage

The Llano Estacado Art Association is offering a workshop, Painting with the Palette Knife with Craig Bova, instructor, on Saturday, March 14, 1-3:30 at the Center for the Arts. The workshop is hands on and will allow attendees to try new ways to create images on canvas. There is a $10 fee for members and $15 fee for non-members which pays for supplies. Tennis shoes/dance shoes/character shoes (small dance audition) 4. Great acting skills ( Cold reads) 5. Great attitudes ( No drama in the DRAMA!) There will be rehearsal schedules at the auditions so those of you auditioning can fill out the conflict calendar that will be on the audition forms.
