Need something fun to do? We may not be open yet, but you can drive up to the Museum and pick up a fun shark themed craft for FREE! We will be set up at the circle in front of the Museum. Just drive up, tell us the number you need (one for each person in the car and up to two extra), and head home. We supply everything except things like scissors and glue.
Limited tickets available Friday to the public at Shoe Choo Train - 212 W Bender. If any tickets remain they will be available at the door $15 in advance/$20 at the door/cash only. Age 3 & up only. Doors open at 6:15 pm. No late admission. COVID safe practices followed.

Attend a FREE Inventor's Workshop on the essentials of obtaining a patent, hosted by New Horizons Foundation, Economic Development Corporation of Lea County, and New Mexico Junior College. All presentations (other than the welcome and closing comments) will be virtual. Attendees may ask questions of the presenters in real time. After the presentations, attendees may sign up to speak to the presenters privately by phone from April 12 through April 16. The Western Heritage Museum and Lea County Cowboy Hall of Fame is happy to present another Second Saturday Take and Make on April 10, 2021 from 10am-1pm. Drive out to the Museum and pick up a craft that is shark themed in honor of their temporary exhibit Megalodon: Largest Shark That Ever Lived. Museum staff will be located at the front of the Museum by the circle and will be wearing masks. All you need to do is drive up, tell them the number of packets you need (the number in the car plus up to two extra), and head home. All supplies will be included minus tape, scissors, and/or glue. This month the museum is also happy to offer a virtual viewing of Shark Tale. The movie will be available all day on April 10 with a link and passcode that you can find on the Museum Facebook or website. Stay tuned for an opening date for the Museum. For now, you can find a sneak peak of the exhibit on the museum’s YouTube page, and stop by April 10th to pick up these shark-related crafts, from 10am-1pm.
