Second Saturdays at the Museum – Take and Make
The community is invited to "Second Saturday at the Museum: Take and Make" - a safe replacement for Family Fun Days. On Second Saturdays, people can drive up to the museum, and receive a packet full of activities for families. On October 10, our theme will be Dia de los Muertos, celebrating this Hispanic holiday that honors family members who have died. Typically Dia de los Muertos is celebrated over 3 days: All Hallows Day October 31, All Saints Day November 1, and All Souls Day November 2. A limited number of packets will be available, and it's first-come, first-serve. Each person in a vehicle will receive one packet with the option to request an extra two packets to take to someone not in the vehicle. Simply pull around the circle, stop, roll down the window, and pick up the free packets (tape, scissors, etc. needed to create the crafts are not included). Activities and crafts are for all ages, but younger children may need help from an adult. For up-to-date information, follow the Museum on Facebook (facebook.com/WHMuseum), or go to the website: nmjc.edu/museum.
