Parking opens at 7:00 pm. The City of Hobbs is hosting the annual fireworks show at Hobbs Industrial Air Park. The public is invited to park on the tarmac and view the show from their vehicles. Any activities in Harry McAdams Park are dependent on Public Health Orders and Mass Gathering Limits in place on July 3rd. Tune in to 94.1 to hear the musical accompaniment. Virtual STEM Camp to be held July 12-15, 2021 For Young Scientists, ages 7-12 Online signup: June 14-30, 2021 Cost $15 per child This camp includes 6 experiments that focus on energy and color. Young scientists will learn about potential and kinetic energy and witness Newton’s Third Law of Motion in action! They will also observe different ways of making colors appear or change. Two STEM challenges will encourage young scientists to use critical thinking skills to complete a challenge. Each experiment/STEM challenge is supported by a video that explains and demonstrates the steps for completion. Participants can upload comments and photos of their work to earn more chances to win prizes! There is even a “Family Experiment” that encourages grown-ups to join in the fun! Registration includes a camp kit that contains most of the supplies needed to complete hands-on science activities. All you have to provide is vinegar, water, scissors, and a cup! Chances to win daily prizes and end-of camp prizes! Camp kits will be shipped free of charge to those living outside of the Carlsbad/Loving, NM area. A distribution site will be set up in Carlsbad for those living in the area. Time and location will be included in the registration confirmation email.Thank you for your interest.

Aladdin and his three friends, Babkak, Omar, and Kassim, are down on their luck until Aladdin discovers a magic lamp and the Genie who has the power to grant three wishes.
