Southwest Symphony Strings Virtual Concert

Southwest Symphony will stream their Virtual Season Finale Concert on Tuesday, May 18 at 6:00pm featuring string players from the Southwest Symphony Orchestra and Artistic Director, Dr. Mark Jelinek. The concert will be available on the Southwest Symphony’s YouTube channel at this link https://youtu.be/gk-bmK9rmQg and our Facebook page.  The virtual concert will feature selections from Allegro in D for Strings by Antonio Vivaldi, Cavatina by Antonin Dvorak and the first movement of the Telemann Suite by George Telemann. Each musician recorded the music in their home and electronically sent it to the editor, Tim Breon, in Pennsylvania. Tim edited the sound and audio of each recording to seamlessly combine the musicians playing together. He has also edited recordings for Williamsport Symphony.  This virtual concert will be the symphony’s final of a three-concert virtual season. Recordings of this concert and other past Southwest Symphony events will be available to watch on the Southwest Symphony’s YouTube channel. All virtual concerts are free of charge to help bring music to the community. More information can be found on the symphony’s website at www.swsymphony.org.
