Family Fun Day – Dinosaurs

Calling all Jr Paleontologists! Come learn about New Mexico’s state fossil, the coelophysis, and what New Mexico was like 225 million years ago during the Triassic Period! Participants will be able to make their own fossil dig site to take home.

Boys & Girls Club 39th Annual Car Raffle

The winner will have a $30,000 credit with the Permian Auto Group toward the purchase of any vehicle. The Raffle will be held on Saturday, August 20th at the Lea County Event Center.  Drawing of the 200 finalists will begin at 6:00 pm, with the elimination drawing to determine the winner to be held immediately following verification of the 200 final tickets.  Each ticket will entitle the bearer to 2 brisket dinners courtesy of Tom Ryan and Bovine & Swine.  Dinner will be served at 5:00 pm. You can purchase tickets at the Boys & Girls Club, at any Permian Auto Group location, Forrest Tire, Forrest Truck or from any BGCH board member. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.bgchobbs.org. The Flick presented by the Community Players of Hobbs

The Flick is a two-act play by Annie Baker that premiered at the New York City Playwrights Horizons theater in 2013. Set in a run-down movie theater of the same name, The Flick is located in the suburban Worchester County of central Massachusetts. The play follows the evolving workplace relationships of three underpaid movie theater employees as they struggle not only to make a living but to define their lives, their values, and their identities within jobs that diminish their self-worth. Production contains adult themes, humor and language - not appropriate for children.
