2-Day Photography Workshop with Craig Varjabedian Day 1 - 3pm We will meet at the Western Heritage Museum and Lea County Cowboy Hall of Fame for a quick discussion of photography and how the workshop will work. - 4-4:30pm We will drive out to a local ranch together in an NMJC vehicle. Personal cars will not be allowed at the ranch in order to keep the risk of damage down. o Camera required; tripod recommended o Jeans and boots recommended; NO sandals or open toe shoes o Bring/wear sunscreen; long sleeves recommended o Waiver required o No access to restroom once we leave the Museum o NO smoking or lighters allowed o Water will be provided - 8pm We will return to the Museum Day 2 - 1pm We will meet in the Museum theater to discuss the activities and photographs of the previous day Workshop is limited to 10 people. $20 a person or $10 for Museum Members Craig Varjabedian is an award-winning photographer who explores the back roads of the American West, making pictures of the unique and quintessential. He shares awe-inspiring stories of the land and the people who live on it-one photograph at a time. Craig Varjabedian's newest book Into The Great White Sands, a photographic exploration of White Sands National Monument, was released Spring 2018 by the University of New Mexico Press.
Join us as we celebrate our newest exhibit: A Colorful Dream. We'll be creating found object rainbows. Come out and be creative and enjoy our new exhibits. Admission is FREE all day and all ages are welcome!
